Advanced Textiles conference to take place at ITMA 2011

Advanced Textiles 2011 will run on three consecutive morning sessions from September 26–28 next year. Presentations will highlight new research and demonstrate in real-world terms how innovative technologies can work in next-generation of products. Topics to be covered by leading industry experts include an overview of the technical textile market and demands and challenges; an examination of specific end market needs such as performance apparel; bio-hazard/extreme environment; electronic interactive materials; digital signage and complex materials applications.
ITMA organiser, the European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers (CEMATEX), has invited the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) to run the conference.
The IFAI has announced that its programme development for Advanced Textiles 2011 has already begun, and has said people interested in presenting should submit a 300-word abstract by the end of October 2010 to Kristy Meade, IFAI director of education and events, at klmeade@ifai.com.
