New UK store for Berghaus
Outdoor brand Berghaus is to open a new store in Bristol this year. The 1,800 square-foot store will open in the city centre at the end of September.
The brand opened its first store in the MetroCentre in 2007, followed by the flagship Covent Garden store in 2008 and a store on Dean Street in Manchester last year, in partnership with Nevisport.
Richard Cotter, Berghaus brand president, said: “Our own retail strategy is responding to consumer demand. In today’s multi-media society, people have a broader awareness of the extent of the Berghaus collection. Currently, even our biggest customers only stock a relatively small selection of the full range and consumers contact Berghaus in increasing numbers, requesting products that are hard to find.
“Allied to the e-commerce site, a considered approach to opening Berghaus stores in key locations such as Bristol is a fundamental part of the brand’s overall strategy, giving consumers the choice they demand and representing the brand in its best light.”
