Biophyl faces the music
A new marketing venture will see Advansa’s Biophyl sold alongside a new music album.
Italian soul band Live Tropical Fish has released a new album entitled The Day Is Too Short To Be Selfish, which will be released in a special edition along with a range of Midnight Swim Shorts featuring the eco fabric. The reason behind the promotion is that the Bologna-based band is focusing more on ecological issues.
The shorts were designed by a team from the Paola Maltese Designer group which specialises in intimate wear and beach wear. Made by Italian technical knit company 2EMME Maglificio Moderno, they can be worn as underwear or beachwear.
Advansa presents Biophyl as a greener alternative to standard polyester and nylon. The carbon footprint of the yarns it uses to make Biophyl is 63% lower, it argues, because of the use of renewable resources and less energy in their production and in dyeing and finishing.
