OutDoor Industry Award winners chosen
The eight OutDoor Industry Award winners have now been picked. The jury received 412 entries from 28 countries (compared with 242 entries from 18 countries in 2009) and managed to choose eight of the best innovations to be given gold awards.
The judging session took place on July 1 in Hannover ahead of the OutDoor show, which runs July 15-18 in Friedrichshafen. The official awards ceremony will take place on the first day of the show at 5:30pm.
Stefan Reisinger, project head of the OutDoor Show and member of the Messe Friedrichshafen Board of Directors, said: “The OutDoor Show is bigger and more international this year than ever before. The same goes for the OutDoor Industry Award. In its fifth year, the award has established a clearly international profile; many international market leaders entered their product innovations in the race.”
Entries were accepted in the following nine categories: apparel/helmets/shoes; backpacks/travel luggage; mountain climbing equipment; camping equipment; sleeping bags; accessories; eco products; and material innovations and concepts (students only).
