Seventy delegates attend Paris textile conference
Around 70 participants from Europe and the US gathered in Paris for the third edition of the Advanced Textiles conference organised by Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) and IHofmann (June 16-17). The programme was split into six thematic sessions and included 23 lectures.
CEO of co-organiser IHofmann, Isa Hofmann, said: “The concept is to provide decision makers in the complex value chain of technical textiles the right format to meet on a professional platform, getting inspiration, face-to-face contacts and networking opportunities in an inspiring ambiance. With Advanced Textiles we want to contribute to initiate new cross-sector innovation projects and comfort our industry to bank on the power of innovation.”
Participants included Karine Wallois from Clubtex, the French association for the promotion of technical textiles and representatives from the German association for technical textiles (IVGT), the International Textile Manufacturers Federation (ITMF), the US department of commerce, Union des Industries Textiles (UIT), the European Textile Services Association (ETSA), the European Safety Federation (ESF) and the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT).
