06/07/2010

Advansa will present its latest innovation at OutDoor Friedrichshafen (July 15-18) and says it has been developed in response to growing demand for garments containing wool.

Its new ThermoCool with wool is said to combine the natural softness wool with the moisture management and thermo buffering properties of ThermoCool. It is made with a specially modified copolymer for softness and low temperature dyeing and, according to the company, offers the wearer a versatile, lightweight fabric. It can be used in first and second layers, sweaters or socks and can be worn for a range of activities including hiking, running, climbing, golf and cycling.

Using ThermoCool with wool helps keep the end-user dry, thermo-regulated and comfortable while exercising and thermoregulated and comfortable whenever needed.

The yarns are available from worsted yarn suppliers Kammgarnspinnerei Stöhr (Germany) and Zhangjiagang Yangtse Spinning (China). Several well-known sock manufacturers including F J Bamkin & Son Ltd. (UK), Gold Toe Moretz (US), Intersocks (Italy), Jacob Rohner (Switzerland) and Kamik (Canada) are using the new product in their latest socks ranges.
