New identity for Lycra socks

Fibres and polymers producer Invista has changed the way it brands its socks to help customers choose which type they really need.

Recent research from the brand suggests women purchase several pairs of socks at once—often from five to more than 20 pairs—and that they also select a variety of styles with ankle-highs accounting for almost half of the socks purchased.
The new branding options include Lycra Soft Comfort (T902C) socks and knee-highs with and Lycra Sport (T400) socks and knee-highs for athletes. The brand’s Lycra Energising socks are now known as Lycra Energy socks.

Denise Sakuma, global segment director, legwear, at Invista, said: “With this new branding and a new brand identity for Lycra Energy socks, Invista ensures that they are always putting its best foot forward in marketing its products within the industry. We are dedicated to clearly identifying our innovations in garments and these new changes will assure our customers and consumers that they are always getting the highest mark of quality and value from the Lycra fibre brand.”
