Advansa launches ThermoCool Eco2
Technical fibre and fabric manufacturer Advansa will introduce a new version of its ThermoCool technology at OutDoor Friedrichshafen, which runs July 15-18. According to the company, ThermoCool Eco2 uses less crude oil, which reduces its CO2 footprint, but without affecting the technical properties of its thermoregulatory performance.
For filament yarns, the company is continuing to use PTT polymer made using renewable resources such as corn sucrose. Its staple fibres are made using sophisticated recycling technology, whereby the polymer based on post-consumer PET is made into high-quality polyester fibre.
“As an eco-responsible company, we are committed to develop products which respect the environment. In response to the growing demand for eco-friendly products, the technological innovation of Advansa ‘s Eco2 offers our customers not only superior quality and high-end fabrics with outstanding thermoregulating performance characteristics but also a more environmentally friendly choice,” said Gerard Illeras, global sportswear market manager.
