Swiss sportswear brand provides Leicester City football kit

Swiss sportswear company Burrda is to produce the next kit for Leicester City football club in the UK. The firm will provide home and away kits as well as training wear for the first team squad and the youth academy.

Burrda already supplies two other UK football teams, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford, as well as for the Belgium, Kuwait and Qatar national teams.

Leicester City chief executive, Lee Hoos, said: “Burrda passed with flying colours a rigorous process regarding quality, design and delivery, to ensure supporters and players continue to receive kit and training wear that is of the highest quality. We have established an excellent relationship with them over a short period of time and we are genuinely excited by their plans to become a major global kit supplier. This relationship has the potential to open a number of doors for Leicester City across the world.”

Burdda's general manager, Charles Diab, said: "Next season is our first in the UK football market and it was vital for us to launch with the right kind of partner and Leicester City is just that. They are a club with an unbelievable history, steeped in tradition with a wonderful fan base.”
