The Jute Manufacturers Development Council (JMDC) of India, which promotes the fibre worldwide, has agreed a deal with Kolkata-based football club Kingfisher East Bengal FC.

Under the new agreement, the club’s under-15 team will wear blazers made from jute while on official club duty and, on the field, wear new shirts made from a cotton-jute blend.
