Mountaineering and camping brand Terra Nova Equipment won a Gold Outdoor Industry Award at the recent Outdoor exhibition in Friedrichshafen for its new Laser Ultra 1 tent.

The Laser Ultra 1 tent weighs only 500 grammes and is designed to be the lightest one-person, double-walled tent in the world. The design of this ultra-light tent is based on the use of a new, ultra-light but very hardwearing material Terra Nova calls Ultra.

The Outdoor Industry Award judges said of the product: “This tent is one of the most innovative products. It is much lighter than any tent before through the use of a completely new, exciting material.”
