American cycling specialist Scattante has launched a new line of women’s cycling featuring jerseys and shorts that have been designed for women by women.

The line will initially offer two styles of jerseys. The brava jersey comes in a soft fabric featuring moisture management technology and is made for more casual riders. The team jersey comes in bold, race-inspired designs and features a more fitted style. Both jerseys are made from 100% lightweight polyester and provide a sun protection rating of UPF 15.
The supra signature short is designed to complement the jerseys. It is made from nylon and Lycra and also offers a sun protection rating of UPF 15. The short features a nine-panel design for consistent compression and comes with multi-density padding and a HuggFit waist for improved comfort, as well as power band leg openings for a non binding fit.

“So many more women are getting on bikes these days, from recreational to avid riders,” says Stephanie Cozzarelli, divisional merchandise manager. "They need a line of clothing that is made just for them. We took the feedback we were hearing from women across the country, and incorporated that into the design of the new line.”
