New COO at Asics America

11/08/2010

Athletic products manufacturer Asics America has appointed Kevin Wulff as chief operating officer, effective immediately. Mr Wulff will add president to his title on February 1, 2011, when current COO and president, Rich Bourne, retires.

His previous roles include president and CEO of San Diego-based Pony International (2007-2010), president and CEO of American Sporting Goods (2004-2007), CEO and chairman of the Women's Tennis Association (2001-2003). He also spent more than 10 years at Nike’s headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, and at Nike Canada in Toronto, holding various management positions.

Mr Bourne said: "After 21 wonderful years with Asics, I'm retiring to travel and spend more time with my family. But I'll remain on hand as a consultant for Asics. I feel very confident in bringing Kevin Wulff on board as my successor. His experience, skill set and ability to handle business on a global level will no doubt help Asics reach our billion dollar goal."
