Arizona-based specialist apparel brand Amazing Tee's has added medical scrubs made from bamboo fabric knitted from fibre spun from bamboo pulp. The company said it believed bamboo fabric was particularly appropriate for medical professions because of its natural antibacterial properties.

In addition, the bamboo scrubs are high absorbent, wicking moisture from the skin and to keep medical professionals cool and dry. The scrubs are strong and durable while also soft to touch. They are easy to wash and do not wrinkle.

Amazing Tee’s says the bamboo it uses is certified organic by non-profit organisation The Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), whether from wild grown or farm grown sources. The fabric is bleached without the use of chlorine. Bamboo fabric takes low-impact dyes well and does not need to be chlorine bleached or to have colour fixative chemicals applied.
