Companies making or using polyester in China could be affected by a recent move by the country’s central government.

It issued a notice in mid-August saying it will impose antidumping duties on imports of
terephthalic acid (TPA) from South Korea and Thailand.

The rates will range from 2% to 11.2% on imports from South Korea and from 6% to 20.1% on imports from Thailand.
