Indonesia aiming for $10 billion in textile exports

Indonesia's industry ministry has estimated that the country's textile exports will reach $10 billion in value this year.

The industry was the second-biggest earner of foreign exchange for Indonesia in 2009, with exports worth $9.2 billion.

The ministry has calculated that around 1.3 million people now work in the Indonesian textile industry.
