CBW and WeylChem to buy Dystar site

CBW Chemie and WeylChem Group have agreed with to buy DyStar’s production site in Brunsbüttel, Germany, and the deal is expected to be completed by October. DyStar plans to transfer most of the production of reactive dyes to Asia at the beginning of 2012.
The site, which is part of the Bayer Industrial Park in Brunsbüttel, is mainly used to produce reactive dyes. It has a reactor capacity of about 2,500 cubic metres for the production of up to 25,000 tonnes of dyes per year.

With the new facilities, CBW plans to substantially expand its textile, paper and leather dye manufacturing capacity.  WeylChem intends to add to its technology portfolio by offering phosgenations.
