Korteks continues to experience growth

14/09/2010

Turkish textile brand Korteks says its polyester business has recorded strong growth so far this year. Company spokesperson Baris Mert told sportstextiles.com that it has "pretty much doubled" its polyester business in 2010 compared with 2009 figures. "What we saw in 2009 was that companies that weren't stable have disappeared; only the strong ones have survived. We expect more and more," he explains.

The reasons behind the growth the company has experienced, he says, is that it is technically advanced, financially strong; has genuine expertise in the textile arena and is active in a wide range of markets.

It now produces approximately 580 tonnes of polyester per day and says that it offers a logistical benefit because it is geographically closer to its European clients than its Asian competitors yet its prices are lower than manufacturers in Europe.
