Exhibitor numbers grew 8% at Expofil this year compared with 2009 figures. According to organisers, 39 exhibitors presented their latest fibre and yarn collections at the event, which ran September 14-16 in Paris.

The biggest participator was Switzerland, with six exhibitors, followed by Italy with four and three each for Turkey, France, the US, Japan and China. The remaining exhibitors came from Bulgaria, Austria, Taiwan, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Hong Kong, Thailand and Egypt.

Two new exhibitors attended the event this year: American fibre producer DuPont Sorona; and Egyptian spinning mill Setcore Spinning, which uses ultrafine Egyptian cotton.
