Kentwool socks to raise money for cancer awareness

US-based textile specialist and performance golf sock manufacturer Kentwool is producing pink versions of its Tour Profile and Women’s Low Profile Skinny styles to raise money for breast cancer awareness. In addition, it will offer customers the opportunity to make a $1 donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) in November and will match each donation made when customers purchase the special pink socks.

“We’re really passionate about combating breast cancer, and the BCRF is on the frontlines of this fight,” says Mark Kent, president and CEO of Kentwool. “With so much attention surrounding Bubba Watson competing in and winning with a pink version of our performance socks, there’s been tremendous demand for the product. In this case, one plus one many times over can add up to a whole lot of money for a very worthy cause.”
The company’s golf socks are designed to maximise foot comfort, increase energy levels and boost on-course performance. They contain fine merino wool and the company’s WINDspun, air-infused technology. According to the firm they create an “innovative, microclimate system for superior moisture management and wicking, as well as odour control”. The socks feature extra cushioning at strategic pressure points, while the heel, toe and bridge elements are reinforced for added support and protection.
