Visitor numbers up 10% at Premiere Vision Pluriel

According to the organisers of Premiere Vision Pluriel, the textile sector may finally be experiencing a recovery. They claim the latest edition of the show, which ran September 14-16 in Paris, was “extremely encouraging with three days of intense activity and excitement”.

Across the six shows—Expofil, Premiere Vision, Indigo, Le Cuir a Paris,

ModAmont and Zoom by Fatex—61,440 visits were registered. Participants travelled from more than 100 countries and visitor numbers grew 10.2% compared with the same event in September 2009.

The PV Awards were held on September 16, with five companies winning awards. Lanificio Luigi Ricceri (Italy) won the Grand Jury prize, while Marioboselli Yarns & Jersey (Italy) won the Handle prize. Schoeller (Switzerland) won the Innovation prize and K Line (Japan) was awarded the Imagination prize. The winner of the new Woolmark prize was Nikke-The Japan Wool Textile (Japan).

The next edition of the Paris show will take place on February 8-10.
