Sigvaris launches latest active therapy sock

Switzerland-based producer of medical compression stockings has added a new Performance Sock to its athletic recovery line. According to the company, it will help athletes to recover more quickly after exercise and will enable them to perform better during active spells.
The new sock offers graduated compression (20-30mmHg), a wide comfort band that stays in place without digging into the skin, safety reflectors for running at night, Achilles tendon protectors to reduce vibration on vulnerable ligaments, a cushioned footbed design to prevent blisters and high-tech fibres for thermal regulation and odour control.
Jonas Thelin, marketing director for Sigvaris North America, said: “It made sense for us to enter the sports market because the use of compression is such a huge topic in sports right now, and we had an opportunity to create truly superior sports compression socks. Our active therapy line was designed to optimise an athlete’s athletic performance as well as speed up post-workout recovery time.”Share this story:
