NHL approves Tuff-N-Lite cut-resistant skate socks

30/09/2010

Montreal-based Tuff-N-Lite Hockey has been officially approved by the National Hockey League (NHL) to provide players with its cut-resistant skate socks. The socks were already being worn by a number of NHL players including Travis Moen of the Montreal Canadiens. According to the company, the socks helped him to avoid sustaining a potential career-ending injury last season.

The Tuff-N-Lite Hockey skate socks include look, feel and stretch like athletic socks, but offer additional protection. They use Tuff-N-Lite Cool patented technology to conduct heat away from the body, to help keep players comfortable and dry throughout the game. They are made from light, breathable fabrics that stretch with the player and use eco-friendly antimicrobial agent Micro-Texpur.
