Patagonia redesigns its Capilene baselayer range

Outdoor brand Patagonia has included a collection of redesigned baselayer garments in its lines for this autumn and winter. The garments, made from the company’s proprietary polyester with hydrophilic finish, Capilene, provide “critical warmth and the ultimate comfort next to skin”, Patagonia said on announcing the development.

It continued: “This year, we worked hard to develop a Capilene fabric with more stretch, improved durability, superior wicking action, faster dry times and increased breathability [compared to] any previous version.”

Its Capilene baselayers are made from recycled content, have integrated odour control technology and can be recycled again through the company’s Common Threads Recycling programme.
