Evonik responds to polyamide boom

29/10/2010
Specialty chemicals firm Evonik has announced that it will expand the production laurolactum—the base material for the polymer polyamide 12—at its plant at Marl in Germany.

The company said it would have extra production capacity at the Marl facility before the end of the year. It said it had made the move because of what it called “persistently high demand for polyamide 12 worldwide”.
