ISO introduces new social responsibility standard

The International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) has developed a new voluntary global guidance standard relating to social responsibility.

The standard, which officially launched on November 1 in Geneva, was formulated with the support of industry experts from across the globe.

One contributor, Ecologica, officially unveiled the handbook for version one of the ISO 26000 standard at the recent Textiles Exchange conference in New York (October 27-28).
