Record visitor numbers at Intertextile Shanghai
The most recent edition of Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics attracted a record number of visitors. According to organisers, 56,645 buyers attended the show, which ran October 19-22.
Almost 2,500 exhibitors from 20 countries and regions presented their latest sportswear, technical apparel, casual wear, ladies wear and suit fabrics and accessories at the fair. Exhibition space spanned 10 halls and covered 115,000 square-metres of space.
“The results speak for themselves; 90% of our exhibitors are pleased with their participation,” said Wendy Wen, trade fair director for Messe Frankfurt HK. “It has been a solid performance and we hope that it will continue as China's textile sector still has room to develop."
Global brands that participated at the event included: Bridgestone Sports, Columbia Sportswear, Eddie Bauer, The North Face, Perry Ellis, Pierre Cardin, PVH, Quiksilver and Vaude.
