A delegation from the TCF (textiles, clothing and footwear) Council of Fiji is to head to Melbourne, Australia, for the International Sourcing Fair on November 17-19. Seven companies will take part under the “Make It In Fiji” (MIIF) banner. They will participate alongside delegations from China, Indonesia, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and other major players in the TCF sector in a bid to find new customers in Australia and New Zealand.
Kalpesh Solanki, president of the TCF Council of Fiji, said: “We may never be amongst the biggest companies out there but that just means we are more committed to the client. At the end of the day, it’s ‘Fiji first’ because we know that we have to collectively sell our nation’s competence in order to highlight our distinctive advantages in the export markets.”
