AAFA releases RSL for Vietnamese manufacturers

The American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) has published a Vietnamese translation of the seventh edition of its Restricted Substances List (RSL) covering apparel, footwear, and home textiles.
The release of the translated RSL coincides with the AAFA International Product Safety and Restricted Substances Conference, which was held on November 10 in Ho Chi Minh City. The list, together with a growing set of other chemical management tools, can be downloaded for free at the AAFA website.“Because of our industry’s global supply chain, it is critical that the US apparel and footwear industry works collaboratively with partners all over the world,” said AAFA president and CEO, Kevin Burke. “By translating the AAFA Restricted Substances List into Vietnamese, we can more effectively communicate international product safety and chemical management requirements to the fastest-growing sourcing alternative to China.”
