Eschler gives Sportful collection the edge
Italy-based sportswear brand Sportful has added a newly developed coating to its latest range of mountaineering and ski outfits. The knitted fabrics are finished with an abrasion-resistant coating embedded with ceramic particles.
The weft-knitted fabric used for Sportful's Dolomiti Windstopper garments was developed by Switzerland-based fabric manufacturer Eschler. It is used in the exposed outer areas of jackets and pants that are subject to heavy wear, for example in the shoulder, elbow and hip areas. The ceramic-coated fabric is used alongside a tightly woven Gore Windstopper fabric, which offers breathability and wind protection.
The polyurethane-based coating is made without the use of solvents and can withstand friction created by backpacks or hip belts.
