Date for Smart Fabrics 2011 announced
The seventh annual Smart Fabrics 2011 will take place on April 4-6, 2011, at the Hotel Russell in London. The sessions will focus on the current status of innovative smart fabric technologies in the marketplace, as well as recent application breakthroughs.
The conference will be chaired by Stacey Burr, CEO of Textronics and VP at adidas. After spending many years at DuPont, Ms Burr founded and served as CEO of electro-textiles manufacturer Textronics. In 2008 she sold the company to adidas and currently serves as vice president, adidas wearable sports electronics.
Confirmed speakers for the 2011 programme include: adidas, Center for Nanotechnology and Smart Materials, Cocona Fabric, the European Technology Platform for Textiles and Clothing, Ghent University, Outlast Europe, Smart Fabrics and Nanotechnology and Textile Testing & Innovation.
