Clariant raises prices for textile chemicals and dyes

08/12/2010
Swiss specialist chemicals provider Clariant has announced price increases for its ranges of textile chemicals and textiles dyes of up to 15%. The price rises will take immediate effect, the company said.

“Continuing shortages in raw materials are creating an ongoing situation of rising feedstock prices for our business. This, in combination with ever-higher energy and transportation costs, leaves Clariant no alternative but to adjust the prices of our textile ranges for our customers,” said Thomas Winkler, head of the company’s textile chemicals business unit.

Clariant said it would contact customers individually regarding the specifics of the price increases as they apply to their products and regions.
