New golf apparel brand created exclusively for women
GoldenWear is a new brand of golf-wear aimed at female golfers created by Californian golfer Darlene Harwick. The designs came about to cater for a largely under-represented demographic in golf fashion: the mature woman.
GoldenWear collections aim to be chic while sporty with cuts a little fuller and lengths a little longer, in fabrics that flatter the mature body.
The brand’s first collection, ‘Coronado’, will be presented at the Professional Golf Association (PGA) Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida in 2011 (January 26-29). The collection features navy and white colour schemes with details including Swarovski buttons and rhinestone zips.
Ms Harwick is keen to showcase her designs to the audience of golf apparel buyers at the show. Her mantra is: “Golf is more than a sport, it’s a lifestyle. Enjoy! Look Golden on the Green.”
