Zimtstern unveils collection for next autumn-winter
17/12/2010
The collection comprises three distinctive lines called Chop, Whip and Beat, all designed, the company says, to satisfy the different wants and needs of snowboarders.
The Chop line is for more ambitious and demanding snowboarders, providing them “with a unique look and superior functionality”. The brand describes Whip garments as having “perfect fit and high-quality fabrics for the uniquely dynamic Zimtstern look”. Finally, the Beat line offers a touch more street style for the hills.
The outerwear collection consists of a total of 107 pieces: 35 men’s styles, 24 women’s and 17 children’s in various colour combinations. The colour palette the company has chosen is inspired by a range of dynamic 1980s-style designs. There are no neon colours but some romantically dark and naturally bright tones. Two major colour schemes dominate: “berry & the moon” (berry colours and sandy white tones) and “ocean & the sea” (various blues and greys).
Some of the fabrics Zimtstern has chosen to use in this new collection offer between 15,000 and 20,000 mm water column and between 15,000 and 20,000g/m2/24h breathability. The Swiss clothing brand has chosen to work with Sympatex for the third time, specifically for clothes in the Chop line.
