Cordura brand classifies fabrics

05/01/2011

Invista’s Cordura brand has classified its fabrics to help consumers better understand the attributes and benefits of each technology. Cordura fabric is used in outdoor clothing and equipment, performance workwear, luggage, footwear and military uniforms.

Eight fabric technology classifications have been created. “We wanted to provide our customers with an easy and quick reference to the particular fabric technology they need for their product,” said Cindy McNaull, global Cordura brand and marketing director. “We achieved this by naming each fabric technology with a term that closely describes its dominant attribute. Further, this new classification system will help our audiences better understand the wide versatility of Cordura brand fabrics.”

The new classifications are: Cordura ballistic fabric; Cordura baselayer fabric; Cordura classic fabric; Cordura colorlock fabric; Cordura HP fabric; Cordura lite fabric; Cordura NYCO fabrics and Cordura ultralite fabrics.
