New performance fabrics move the moisture around

Burlington Worldwide, part of performance fabrics provider International Textile Group, has launched a new collection of fabrics called Cooltec.

Cooltec fabrics can be used to create apparel with functionality to keep wearers cool, dry and comfortable at all times. The fabrics are made from what Burlington Worldwide refers to as “an exclusive high-performance fibre”. Proprietary yarn cross-sections within the fabric form channels that speed moisture absorption and quickly diffuse the moisture throughout the fabric.

“Burlington Worldwide continues to expand its collection of performance synthetic fabrics with built-in technologies,” said Pete Baumann, senior vice president of merchandising, at the time of the launch. “Our technologies provide comfort, ease of care, and look and feel great. The Cooltec fabric collection offers new solutions to support today’s active lifestyles and gives greater versatility across casual, active and dress styling.”
