Outlast acknowledges the value of partnerships

Developer of fibres, fabrics and coatings incorporating phase change materials, Outlast Technologies, has issued a statement to acknowledge the work of Far Eastern New Century Corporation, its primary partner in polyester fiber development. Outlast polyester, the company’s most recent innovation, is the first-ever heat management polyester fibre.

Outlast said Far Eastern’s development capabilities had proved invaluable in taking the basic technical concept of Outlast polyester through to new fibres, yarns and fabric. The Taiwanese company’s spun yarn division developed a range of Outlast polyester and cotton yarns, and its fabric division developed the world’s first Outlast polyester knit fabrics.

“This new fibre is the result of global coordination across our operations in North America, Europe and Asia, unifying Outlast research and development efforts around the world,” said Greg Roda, president and chief executive of Outlast Technologies. “Our partners are a key asset in the advancement of Outlast polyester, and, as we continue to commercialise, we will gain insight to ensure a quality polyester fibre.”
