Agion creates odour eliminator for Woolrich
Outdoor clothing company Woolrich has partnered with antimicrobial technology provider Agion to launch odour eliminating technology ‘Agion Active’ in the outdoor apparel market. Woolrich is introducing the new technology in its collection of merino and polyester blend base layers being introduced for autumn 2011.
Agion Active features a dual action technology that the companies claim not only provides antimicrobial product protection and industrial-strength odour elimination, but also eliminates odours both on and around the fabric. Silver ion antimicrobial technology stops propagation of odour-causing bacteria on the fabric, while a natural, proprietary odour-trapping solution captures molecules from ambient odours. “We are excited to announce our partnership with Woolrich,” said Paul Ford, chief executive officer of Agion. “Agion is pleased that our Agion Active technology for apparel can now be delivered by Woolrich.”
