Fibre and polymer producer Invista has announced that it will showcase new developments in sports socks at ispo 2011 in Munich, February 6–9. As part of the display, it will present its latest socks trend collection featuring Lycra fibre, Lycra T400 fibre, Lycra Sport socks and Lycra freshFX socks.

Invista said Lycra Sport socks were developed in response to consumer needs and the fast growing sports socks market, reflecting a wide range of different sports activities. “For athletes looking to further enhance their performance thanks to technically-advanced garments, Lycra Sport socks provide premium foot-hugging stretch and recovery power,” Invista said in a statement. It added that socks made from Lycra Sport can feature graduated compression, premium fit, stretch and recovery, even after numerous washes.

Sports socks brands that have adopted Invista fibres into their products include Hilly and Ridgeview from the UK and Mico Sport and Pieffe from Italy.
