Swiss outdoor brand Zimtstern has won the ispo 2011 Eco Responsibility Award for snowboard garment production. This is the second time Zimtstern has won the award, which honours companies in five categories for their commitment to sustainability.

Zimtstern pointed out that its autumn-winter 2011–2012 outerwear collection is made of 100% bluesign-approved fabrics, showing that the brand and its partners avoid the use of chemicals that are hazardous to health or environment and meet stringent requirements regarding wastewater, air quality and job security for their workers. Zimtstern has also committed to reducing its use of raw materials, water and energy in the long term, and protects the health of the employees.
