Bemis and Macpi share their expertise
Amir Nankali, global director of product development at Bemis, has been selected as the expert in the Ask the Expert feature for the March-April issue of WSA magazine. Mr Nankali will answer questions on bonding technology in apparel together with fellow expert, Luca Mosso, chief executive of Macpi.
“Amir has 26 years of industry experience with thermoplastic adhesives and has been with Bemis for the last 18 years,” a statement from Bemis said. “In his career at Bemis, Amir has worked closely with many customers to develop unique solutions that either meet or exceed their requirements. Amir oversees application support and product development at Bemis, and leads a technical team comprised of approximately 30 people across the globe. Amir has been involved with the development and deployment of Sewfree technology for apparel since its inception in 2001 and fully understands the manufacturing processes and technologies available for bonded garment technology.”
Bemis has over 20 different Sewfree formulations for bonding. Bemis tapes and films have been used in a variety of apparel markets including intimates, performance wear, technical outerwear, swimwear and casual wear.
