Holmenkol celebrates success of 2010
German specialist for sports equipment coatings Holmenkol has confirmed it had a successful financial year 2010. With a growth in turnover of 13% and measures in place to increase efficiency, the international company returned a positive result.
"Holmenkol introduced numerous innovations and new products in 2010, successfully driving new trends with an extended product range. We are able to strengthen our market position as a result", said CEO Karim Grueber. The reasons for growth during the financial year 2010 are due to an increased demand from European key accounts and the expansion of market share in North America, Eastern Europe and domestic markets.
The company also extended their product range in the care product sector and introduced new ski waxes such as SpeedBase CFC.
"We will continue to invest heavily in this segment because we see a great deal of potential here," said Mr Grueber. "We will be stepping up investment during financial year 2011 especially in the footwear care sector."
Holmenkol is looking forward to a positive result in financial year 2011. "In January 2011 we already managed to exceed our turnover expectations," said Mr Grueber.
"We can therefore confidently predict our growth trend continuing."
