Adidas and Yohji Yamamoto celebrate ten years together
Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto and German sportswear brand adidas are celebrating ten years of collaboration with a limited edition ‘adidas for Yohji Yamamoto’ collection including footwear and apparel pieces for men and women.
The collection celebrates the fusion of Yamamoto’s signature spirit with the design and performance of adidas. By recalling the progressive elements of their very first collection presented in 2001, Yamamoto and adidas pay tribute to the past while looking ahead to the future.
“Ten years ago, together with adidas we created something that did not exist before and completely projected the future, said Yohji Yamamoto. “My desire was and is to make sportswear elegant and chic. adidas is a very personal inspiration to me…it enriches my creative life.”
The footwear range focuses on red, black and white colour combinations in classic styles, such as the Yohji Pacer, Smith and Star as well as more technical hi tops, including the Campus Wrestling, X Bounce and GSGX.
