REI creates accounting vice-president position

Outdoor gear and apparel co-operative retailer REI (Recreational Equipment Inc.), has announced the appointment of Sue Sallee as its new vice-president for accounting and finance, a recently created position. The company has also promoted Angela Owen, Tim Spangler and Tom Vogl to senior vice presidents of the merchandising, retail, and marketing divisions respectively.

Ms Sallee joins the organisation from T-Mobile USA where she vice-president and controller. A native of the Pacific Northwest, where REI is based, she enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, traveling and reading.
