Spyder chooses Pertex fabrics

Designer and manufacturer of high-performance fabrics Pertex has announced a partnership with skiwear and mountain-based apparel brand Spyder Active Sports. Pertex will produce new pieces for the Spyder 2011–2012 collection. Pieces in the collection will include the men’s Rocket down jacket, and the women’s Cloud Nine down jacket, both of which feature Pertex Shield fabric.

“We’re pleased to be working with Spyder, as they are a clear leader in the industry,” said Steve Laycock, manager of Pertex, at the time of the announcement. “The variations of fabric that Spyder selected for their pieces show the range of offerings in the Pertex Shield line.”

The Pertex Shield range of fabrics provide breathability, wind and water repellency and have a lightweight construction.
