Turkey pushes up duty on fabric imports

Turkey will increase customs duty on fabric imports from China to 30%, and put up to 28% duty on fabric imported from Pakistan.

A Pakistani government adviser on textile industry matters, Dr Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, has said this change will make a big impact on export orders of millions of metres of fabric that Pakistani mills already have in production for shipment to Turkey.
