Lunabrite reveals illuminated ribbon
US-based company Lunabrite Light Technology, which produces illumination products for enhancing safety and visibility, has unveiled what it calls a new, brighter, longer lasting glow technology in a ribbon format. Lunabrite Ribbon activates in minutes using daylight or ambient light and illuminates for over eight hours, the company says.
“Lunabrite Ribbon is flat, flexible, and can be applied to a multitude of design applications ranging from apparel design to outdoor products,” said the firm. “The polymer material is ultra thin with the highest glow effect. It is an extremely light stable and long lasting formula with no loss of illumination over many years. Lunabrite Ribbon offers the highest impact glow for specialised night-glow effects, and is engineered to provide an illuminating glow from dusk until dawn making it ideal for night safety applications.”
Although the material is thin, it is a durable and tear resistant polymer that may withstand tough usage, according to Lunabrite Light Technology. It can be stitched or sewn into fabrics and is machine washable, making it ideal for active sportswear.
Lunabrite Ribbon is available in three standard colors: Limelight, Arctic Blue, and Spring Green. The company president, Barbara Sommer said: “A vibrant palette of custom colours is also available that will enhance creativity with design projects. Our experienced colour experts are also available to assist designers with colour and material selection for their projects.”
