New sock collection from FITS

17/03/2011
Specialist merino sports and outdoor sock brand FITS has announced seven new designs for spring and summer.

New proprietary performance knitting techniques have improved fit, feel, and function, the company has said.

Manufactured by Tennesse-based Crescent Mills, FITS socks are made in the oldest operating hosiery mill in the US; it goes back to 1902.

Products in the new range include Light Hiker, which FITS describes as "the perfect go-anywhere, do-anything sock". It uses ultra-fine merino wool to manage moisture in the boot or shoe and regulate foot temperature, keeping wearers comfortable in all conditions. Other products in the range are the the Upland Crew Long Haul, which hits just below the calf, and features an overall even fit and sculpted shape. It features a deep heel pocket to lock the sock in place, and an engineered toe box that prevents bunching. This time the product is 70% wool, 22% nylon, 6% polyester, 2% Lycra spandex.

“All the feedback we are getting on these new products indicates we have created something that everyone wants and needs. Our dedication to quality has led us to develop the best socks on the market,” claimed brand manager, Wood Talkington, at the time of the launch.
