Pakistan: sports good exports up 8%

Pakistan’s exports of sports goods witnessed increase of 8% during the first eight months of the current fiscal year as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

 

The exports of sports goods were recorded at $193.4 million during July 2010-February 2011 as against the exports of $179.2 million during last year, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics (FBS) data.

 

Among the sports goods, exports of gloves during the period under review stood at $73.8 million against the exports of $65.2 last year, showing an increase of 13.2%, the data revealed.

 

The exports of other sports goods increased by 2.2%, increasing from $30.4 million last year to $31.1 million this year.
