Xtep posts positive 2010 results

Xtep sold 22.3 million pairs of shoes in 2010, an increase of 16.7% on the previous year. In apparel, the company sold 16.4% more with a volume of 33.3 million in 2010.
In the course of 2010, Xtep increased the number of stores it operates by 928 to 7,031. It now has 38 flagship stores across the region, eight more than at the end of 2009.
Announcing the results, chief executive, Ding Shui Po, commented: “China experienced a combative year on the world stage in 2010, emerging resilient as the world’s second largest economy when the global economic recovery continued to falter. With such a favourable domestic economic environment, the group has continued its strong growth momentum and delivered remarkable results in 2010."
